I was having this conversation with my girl the other night, and the story goes like this:
(Conversation in our own Sabah mandarin, then suddenly she said to me..)
(aiyo, english so ma huan! Chinese nicer)
(What makes you say so?)
(you see ah, in chinese, we call dog a dog, and why cant a puppy called small dog or little dog?)
K: hm, 还有列?
(hm, and then?)
(Cat also! why must it be kitten instead of small cat?)
(chinese is also a trouble. one chinese word can sound the same, but different meaning)
E: >.<
So readers, be grateful that we (Malaysian) get to understand at least 3 languages or more. At least you know it when people try to swear.
